The Pinnacle of Recognition Asian Paints Sharad Shamman  এশিয়ান পেইন্টস শারদ সম্মান

It is an award for the best decorated Durga Puja Pandal in Kolkata, given since 1985.  Despite numerous other awards, it remains the most important and trendsetting for creative excellence in decorating abodes for Goddess Durga, celebrating 38 years of Sharad Shamman.

In Kolkata, "Asian Paints Sharad Shamman" was established in 1985 as a way to recognize the best-decorated puja pandal.  Asian Paints sponsored the event, giving it the name Asian Paints Sharad Shamman, which translates to "Autumn" (as the festival takes place during that season).  Six of the approximately 3000 puja pandals in Kolkata are selected for awards after being shortlisted.
